Ground Worker
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, values safety, and wants to build a career in the arboriculture industry. You’ll be assisting arborists with day-to-day operations and helping maintain a safe and efficient job site.
Job Description:

Assist arborists with tree removals, pruning, and other arboricultural tasks

Prepare and clean up job sites before and after work

Chip brush and operate other equipment (stump grinder, chainsaw, etc.)

Operate larger vehicles and towing trailers
-
Maintain a clean and organized work area
-
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures

Provide stellar customer service
Education: Completion of High School. Manitoba Arborist Training Program or equivalent plant knowledge would be an asset.
Experience: Any field work or outdoor work experience would be an asset but not necessary.
Work Conditions: Outdoors everyday; handling of heavy loads; repetitive tasks; physically demanding.
Essential Skills: Attention to detail, self-motivating, problem solving, decision making, continuous learning, working with others, professionalism, courteous to customers and their property. Must have a valid drivers license and be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle. Air endorsement would be an asset.

Arborist
In this position you will see a different view everyday. Your focus will be on what's best for the tree, enabling clients to feel peace of mind and receive the maximum benefits from their trees, and getting all that done using the safest methods possible.
Job description:

Climbing or use of aerial lift for pruning, removal work, technical rigging, and structural repairs of trees

Tree planting
-
Communicating with clients to ensure exceptional service

Maintain a safe and clean worksite, including brush removal and site cleanup
-
Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections and maintenance
-
Collaborate with the team to complete jobs efficiently and safely
Required Skills and Education:
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
2+ years of arborist experience or UofM Arboriculture Course
-
Knowledgeable and able to demonstrate the application of approved knots, proper climbing techniques and procedures

Can safely operate aerial lifts, brush chippers, stumpers, and chainsaws
-
Valid Driver’s License (Air endorsement is a strong asset)

Excellent communication skills

A proactive attitude—organized, detail-oriented, and ready to solve problems on the fly
